HNT’s Price Largely Unmoved By Helium’s 'Users' Controversy

Helium (HNT), the native asset of a developer of "decentralized wireless infrastructure," seems to be moving with the market despite recent charges that the project promoted false relationships with two prominent tech companies.

Crypto news - HNT

HNT has been rising upward since July 29, when the rumors initially surfaced, before correcting down on Sunday as the whole crypto market reduced its gains.

It traded at USD 9.26 at 08:39 UTC, down roughly 2% in a day and stable in a week for the 52nd-largest cryptocurrency on CoinGecko.com. The price was also up about 2% in a month and down 33% in a week.

The cellular network provider listed Lime, a ridesharing company, and Salesforce, a prominent customer relationship management firm, as among its top clients, and displayed their logos on its website. Both firms, however, have refuted this assertion.

"Aside from an early test of its product in 2019, Lime has not had, and does not now have, a partnership with Helium," said Russell Murphy, Lime's Senior Director of Corporate Communications.

Despite a "short test of [Helium's] product that didn't endure beyond a month or two" in the summer of 2019, Murphy claims that Helium and Lime have not been in communication since then. The director said that Lime had requested that its name not be used in any advertising materials as a condition of the trial.

Despite this, Helium used Lime's logo on its website and claimed to be "trusted by" Lime. Murphy said, "Helium has been making this claim for years, and it's bogus." His company is allegedly planning to send a cease-and-desist letter to Helium over its use of the ridesharing service's name and insignia on its website and in marketing materials.

Salesforce, another corporation that denied utilizing the project's goods, has issued a similar denial in response to Helium's actions.

Ashley Eliasoph, Salesforce's representative, told The Verge that Helium "is not a Salesforce partner," and that the image on Helium's homepage identifying the CRM specialist as a customer "is not correct."

"Since the Network's inception in 2019, we've collaborated with a wide range of firms on many applications and pilots." "Both Nova and our Helium Foundation partner have deleted the reference," said a spokeswoman for Nova Labs, the firm behind the Helium blockchain.
